Data roaming not working on new phone

I think I need a new SIM  card…… or help to get this one working properly in my new phone.   

SO I got a new Android phone for Christmas……

 

It works fine in my old Samsung phone, but if I put it in the new phone, i can make calls, send messages - BUT not use the mobile data.   I am currently stuck in Portugal due to the death of my partner and I need to be able to use my data roaming 

Can some one PLEASE help me

Hi @Paula Banfield, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We’ve been down to a skeleton crew over the holidays due to a number of illnesses. 

Firstly, my sincerest condolences on the passing of your partner. I hope you’re doing okay given the circumstances.

If you didn’t use the new Samsung in the UK before heading abroad, then it’s possible that the data services weren’t properly provisioned, and so you won’t be able to use them in Portugal either.

You’ll also need to check that data roaming is enabled on the phone itself, but also in your iD Mobile account. If you still need help with this, our Live Chat team should be able to help.
