Thank you for this reply.FYI, I’ve been trying to complete iD Mobile registration process at:https://my.idmobile.co.uk/web/cpw/pre-registration/-/registration/registerMyAccount.Can’t use app or online until I’m registered - can’t get security code - not sure anyone can do anything until this issue is fixed.Problem with security code SMS is taking days to fix - it’s critical part of registration process.New iD customers can’t register for the my account self-service option, until issue is fixed.Regards,

Thanks for this information.The failure to send an SMS with security code (for registration), in a timely manner, has been broken since last Friday evening (30-Jul-2021).Is this problem really that difficult to fix?TIA, ^AW

How do iD notify customer their number port has completed?

Okay, thank you.My number appears to be ported-in on schedule and I can make and receive calls, also send and receive SMS messages - but there hasn’t been a number port completed SMS from iD (yet)?TIA, ^AW

Okay, thanks for this information.It seems Calling, WiFi Calling, Voicemail and SMS are working without a hitch - there may be other services I’m not aware of though, which might not be working.Regards, ^AW

Normally you can use your existing SIM in your new phone, unless you need a different sized SIM.Why did she need a new SIM?

Just a note to say the Register option is working.I visited the iD website, clicked Log In and landed here:iD Mobile - REGISTERI noticed the page has been redesigned since my previous registration attempts, but everything now works - security code too!I’m pleased to say I’ve now been registered and have online access to my iD.Thanks for all the earlier assistance.

Hello there @nrsp, great post!Interesting to note that iD support Wi-Fi Calling on a number of devices, which are NOT apparently supported by their network partner (Three UK) - the iPhone 12 for example.

Thank you @Mohammed.So when upgrading to a new phone (that comes with new triple SIM card), it’s okay to use existing SIM, if it fits the new phone - otherwise you’d use the new SIM and activate it.

Activate sim and enter PAC abroad

@ElsBells, I think you’d need to be in the UK to activate the SIM and port your number.iD do not operate their own network in Spain - you’d be using a mobile network operated by one of their roaming partners.Good luck.

Do you mean there’s a direct debit setup on your bank account, which you haven’t authorised?If so, just get you bank to cancel the direct debit, explaining you’ve not authorised it.Good luck.

VOICEMAIL NOT WORKING

You should be able to toggle your voicemail service ON / OFF, from my iD (i.e. online or in the app).When I use the iD online service (my.idmobile.co.uk), it’s under “My Services” > “Voicemail”.Maybe it’s OFF for some reason and just needs to be toggled back ON.I don’t think you can control it from your phone, because voicemail is a service provided by the mobile network operator or virtual mobile network operator, e.g. iD.Good luck.

Is my download speed being throttled?

Well the speeds are affected by lots of external factors, especially how busy the network is at any given time.In a big city there’s going to be loads of people using 4G, especially at lunchtime, commuting time et cetera. When did you try your speed-test?

I think if you’re pay monthly, it’s likely your next direct debit gets adjusted to collect any outstanding amount.Not sure how PAYG works, but presumably you can’t doing anything unless you have credit on your PAYG account.Good luck!

My contract ends in early October, Can i upgrade from a phone plan to a sim plan?

I think if you let your plan expire, you’ll automatically be switched to a rolling one-month plan, which is effectively a SIM only plan.I guess the issue is that you might default to a monthly payment greater than some of the SIM only plans.You might be able to choose a new 12 month SIM only plan once you contract expires though. I imagine iD will offer you something nearer your contract expiration date.Good luck!

Multiple sims

Hello @IL Lodi,I think that currently iD only allow 1 SIM per account, so for 3 SIM cards you’d need 3 iD accounts.I guess this makes managing the 3 accounts a little tricky.There are other mobile networks that do allow multiple SIM cards under one account, for example EE.Good luck!

Hello @Karen Nagle,The website says it can take up until 10pm, on the day of the port, for the number port-in.Have you tried the following?1) Removing the iD SIM from your phone, turning it on and off again without the SIM.2) Leave it off for several minutes while you put the iD SIM back into your phone.3) Turn your phone on again.If you’re in an area with a bad or weak mobile signal, the porting process could be affected.Good luck!

Hello @LauraJP,When you receive a new SIM with a new phone, the SIM will normally need to be activated from your iD account.If you have your old iD SIM and it fits in your new iD phone, then you can use that SIM instead.They [iD] only send a new SIM with a new phone because your old SIM may not fit your new phone.Good luck!

@Karen Nagle you might think about switching to a business tariff. These can often be better value than many consumer tariffs. Obviously that rules out iD who don’t offer anything for businesses.Good luck!

Notifying to travel abroad

Hello @HappyS, I don’t think you need to tell iD.Just check that roaming is enabled for your account, via the mobile app or the iD website before you travel.If you’re going outside the EU then you might need to purchase an add-on.Have a good trip and good luck!
