Hi there
Could you have her turn the phone off, remove the SIM.
Then turn the phone on (without SIM) and leave it for about 4-5 mins or so.
Then turn off, re-insert the SIM, and turn back on.
That should hopefully cause the phone to refresh the number in the Android settings.
Let us know how you get on.

Could you please try the below?
Change the phone number associated with the Messages app: Open the Messages app. Tap More Settings Advanced. Select Phone number, then edit the number to the correct phone number associated with your SIM card. Tap OK.

i tried the following method above for iphone to fix the expiring number problem. whilst it fixed the issue of my temporary new number disappearing and registering my old number back onto my phone - my iphone still tells me my number is going to expire for imessage and face time? is there anything else i can do?
Hi
It may be worth turning the handset off and removing the SIM for a few minutes.
Please reinsert the SIM and restart the handset and try changing the number.
If the issue keeps persisting it may be worth contacting Apple directly for further assistance.

Hi, I hope someone can help me.
I have recently purchased 2 new Samsung A53 5G phones, I've ported my numbers and both phones still send messages to certain numbers with the number that came with the phones.
Hi
If that doesn’t work, I’d recommend contacting the Facebook, Twitter or Live Chat teams for further assistance.
Thank you,
Rory
