Open data policy

I’ve just learnt that I will only be able to use 21.60 GB when roaming in a Band 1 country (as opposed to my 100GB plan) free of charge.  I will be charged for anything above 21.60GB.  I am only going for a week, but may use a lot of data.

I think ID is misleading  customers by saying you can “roam like at home”.  You can’t.

I only learnt about this by reading the small print on the roaming page.  I think ID should put this on the “Remaining Monthly Allowances” dashboard, to make it clear.

ID, will you do this?   It’s misleading if you don’t.

iD Mobile are no different to the other UK mobile service providers still offering ‘free’ roaming in the EU - all have limits on the roaming data allowance.

You do need to scroll down, and click-through several times before you get to the details - you’ve got to be persistent - it could be easier.

Even if all providers do it, they should all make it clearer!

They are misleading customers if they don't show this much more prominently.

Hey @ACH,

I’m sorry to hear you feel this way.

We do try to be as transparent as possible and all of this is advertised here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/eu-roaming/fair-usage-policy

This is linked on Roaming pages and in the FAQs.
