Urgently need to retrieve my old number

I am trying to retrieve my old number, from my previously cancelled ID contract. From reading online on your own forums and other forums, this is definitely possible. I have been trying to contact ID for over a week to arrange this but it has proved very difficult just to get through to them. ID’s live chat service said they would look into it and get back to me in 48 hours. But they have not, please could you help me. I really need my old number.

new contract instead of upgrade

 Hello,My name is *********** and I have joined ID mobile 24/11/20. My mobile number is **********. The number has been transferred from vodafone via PAC. Since joining, I have raised the concerns via the online community and live chat that I am unable to receive any one off verification codes. I have recently also found that I cannot receive ANY phone calls as it says my number is incorrect. I am a nurse who works on call for the NHS, the hospital relies on my to answer my phone during staff shortages to cover and as a result of this I have lost out on employment and frankly patients have lost out on a better quality of care during a pandemic. Your customer services via the website and chat have not been helpful one bit hence this is still not sorted. I have also escalated this directly with Carphone Warehouse (complaint reference-30670501). I feel as though I have been extremely patient during your replies on the direct messages on the website, whih are often only once every 12 hours

Can't activate imessage or facetime

Hi, i’ve been with ID Mobile for several years now but a few days ago my imessage and facetime randomly stopped working - i get an error message saying cannot be delivered. I’ve disconnected and reconnected to both apps but now it is saying for my phone number that it can’t be activated? I’ve updated to the latest IOS Software, reconnected my network settings and also de-registered from imessage on apple and tried re-activating again. The problem i’m getting is it says waiting for activation for ages and then just says activation unsuccessful. I spoke to Apple and they said they can’t see an issue at their end?My profiles i.e. apple id, phone number is all correct and i’ve also tried taking out the sim and putting it back in.I can send regular texts just fine i’m just unable to connect to imessage or facetime.

not receiving text messages

Hello, my sim has suddenly stopped receiving text messages from the 31st Dec I can send and call and people are receiving but I am not receiving their replies. I have turned the handset off removed the sim and turned aeroplane mode on. I've also tried my sim in other handsets. I have not changed my handset and also reset the settings. Any ideas?

My new plan isn't showing up on my phone

Hi, I upgraded just over a month ago from a 5GB to a 20GB plan but my phone is still saying I have 5GB and I have almost used my allowance due to this. Does anybody know why and what I can do about it? Tia

Been waiting nearly a week for my number to be transfered.

I filled in the PAC transfer form successfully last Saturday. I connected an employee on Wednesday to find out what was happening with it and was told that the number transfer was still being processed and would be fast tracked. it is now Friday late afternoon. Is there an estimated time on when the transfer will come through?

Cancelling new contract, sim not received after 5 days

I helped my mum change her plan on Saturday but without notice or any prior notification her son was deactivated and we found out a new one was to be delivered in "2-3 days". She's a pensioner who lives alone and works part time, self employed, so relies on her mobile.  Live chat said she just had to wait for the new sim to be delivered. It still hasn't turned up so tonight I purchased a payg sum from Three and did a 3 hour round trip to get her set up.I tried cancelling the contract on the id app and online but it said she would owe £82.89 line rental.  She won't be paying another penny but I need help getting this cancelled with the PAC code to transfer to a more reliable network.

PAC code doesn't work

PAC code was requested on 26th November but says it expires on 1st November!?!?It then doesn't work when trying to transfer my number to ee. Anyone else?

on wifi so why has my data allowance changed so much in five minutes??

Hi. My first post so be kind 😃.My data allowance seems to fluctuate over the course of minutes, when I’m at home on Wi-fi- I am really puzzled. I tried live chat last night but all I kept getting was “I won’t be long” and variants of that for over half an hour, so gave up. I am going to attach some pictures to show you what I mean - any ideas/advice will be gratefully received, thanks.

I can’t send a text back to hospital to say yes to keep appointment because it a 4digit number how do I overcome this as u can’t get though to Id on phone .thanks

Failed credit check

Hi Newbie here.Surely it would make sense to let people know they can only order 2 sims per person before pac codes etc are requested!!. Why is this??. Please advise how I go about getting a 3rd contract asap. It seems discriminatory against single families......Many thanks

Keeping my number with new iD monthly contract

I have an existing ID pay monthly SIM only account and today I got a new pay monthly contract with ID. How do I cancel the pay monthly SIM account and transfer my number to my new contract.Also why is impossible to talk to anyone at ID - I feel like cancelling the new contract and sending the phone back and go elsewhere - this has been so frustrating

wifi calling

My phone signal is rubbish on ID, I have wifi calls enabled yet I frequently miss calls that go straight to VM, and cannot make calls. This is the worst service I have ever had with a mobile provider. Roll on end of contract

How to hide my caller ID?

I have a new phone Alcatel 3L 2020 bought from Carphone Warehouse. I need to hide my number on some outgoing calls( used for a well known Charity and their policy to withhold number).When going to additional settings then Caller ID on phone settings ,when I try to select hide  number, a message box  comes up with “unexpected response from network”.Any ideas on how to hide my number?

browsing issues, ping

hi I’m a new user of unlimited planfirst two days (I think) all was ok, then started issues with browsingall stream services like netflix, youtube or spotify are working ok - probably because they bufferbut when I’m using browser (safari, chrome, opera, firefox) there is an issue - about 70% ofwebsites not loading, I need to reload websites many times to load their contentI’m using Alcatel e70 but to be sure I also used my Xperia XA2 as a hotspot andsituation is the samthis doesn’t depend on transfers shown by speed test services - once they are 15-20Mbitsand once 1-2Mbits (probably because of day time or weather)  I’m not sure what is the reasontried ping and ping time is very unstable from about 50ms to over 1second any ideas?

Number Transfer

I spoke with Carphone warehouse on Wednesday who got my new phone sent to me on Thursday. I am switching from O2 to iD mobile and am expecting my number to transfer too. It’s had now been three days and my number still hasn’t transferred. This is my first time using iD mobile and I’m not impressed. Please resolve and get my number transferred immediately. Thanks

verification codes - Klarna OTP

Hi I have been trying to receive a verification code to make payments/access my Klarna account for a couple of days now and despite having no problems with this process before it now doesn’t seem to be working. I have contacted Klarna and they seem to think it is problem with my network possibly blocking text massages from Klarna. Could you look into this for me? Thanks

No incoming calls or texts after number port

Hi, I’m unable to receive calls or texts after porting over my number from Virgin Mobile a week ago. I’m a new customer of ID Mobile.  I can call out and use iMessage but can’t receive calls or texts.  I have tried removing my SIM and restarting the phone, leaving for 5 mins without the SIM in then turning off, putting the SIM in and restarting.

Can't connect my phone to PPTP VPN

Hi,I just receive my new SIM with iD and start to use Call/SMS/Data is working perfect and the coverage of the networks is OK .I can't connect my phone to work VPN. Till now I used different mobile operator and no have any problem. I change to the old SIM and everything is working fine. Is it possible to connect to private VPN (PPTP) using iD SIM card?Can some one have the same issue?

How do I leave ID Mobile and cancel my contract you have no customer service? No contact details.

Trying to onboard … PAC issue … no customer service on phone, or live chat.Want a complete refund and cancellation as service unsatisfactory.  If not forthcoming I will complain to OFCOM as no contact details is atrocious.

Cancel SIM only contract in cooling off period

I would like to cancel my sim only monthly rolling contract which I have not yet used and I am within my 14 days cooling off period however I can’t get on your online chat to speak to anyone
