Can I buy an additional sim card for my child online? Total of 2 sim cards in my name. If so, where do I do this?

Okay @Evie Cole, you can buy a SIM only plan online at https://www.idmobile.co.uk/sim-only-deals. 

If you want to manage your child’s iD plan online, using an iD My Account, or using the iD app, you’ll need to register for a separate login (using a unique email address).

It’s not possible to manage multiple iD SIM plans from one iD online account.
