I was in the middle of a call to an 0845 number when I got cut off and the message said I’d reached my call cap limit. How do I amend the call cap when outside of my unlimited call plan. I understand there may be a charge for using 0844 and no idea why I would be at the cap as never regularly use numbers outside of my plan. I’m unable to make calls now and the call I was on is urgent !!!

Hi there @Payne

0844 falls into the remit of a non-geographic number, with a 45ppm access charge from iD alone, then the organisations service charge added on too.

So with that in mind you need to up your bill cap. This can be done on the app or online portal.

Bills → Manage bill cap → adjust it higher and click Save. If it’s already at the highest for your account then I would guess to say iD might be able to raise this.

Another alternative would be to use something like ‘Say no to 0870’ or similar. These sites often show the 0844 number but with an alternative 01,02 or 03 number instead, thus putting this number into your allowance.
