Time to move away from Apple?

Looking for honest feedback. Ive been an Apple iphone person literally since they came out. The last one that I bought however was an iphone 7+. With all the improvements that have come along since then, is it worth me sticking with Apple, or time to kick some dirt in the face of them and go Andriod.... The S10 looks inpressive, however the XS looks as good. Im still tempted to cut the umbilical cord that keeps me tied to Apple. Would appreciate your thoughts !!

What is the most sustainable phone option?

My current phone is showing it's age and sometime soon it will totally break down and I will have to buy a new one. For several reasons I need a smartphone, but I hate how temporary a lot of the major brands seem to be. I don't want to contribute to the consumerist system of buying new devices every year when a better version is released, and creating so much non recyclable or toxic waste. Is there a smartphone that anyone has had for a really long time that they can recommend, or another option that I haven't considered yet?

Advice for screen protector

Hi Folks, how do you apply your screen protectors? I do my best to follow the instructions, but no matter what I do, I can't get all the tiny motes of dust off the screen! In fact I was certain that the more I tried, the worse it got. So frustrating!

Smart Lock not working

On my Samsung s7edge, the Smart Lock has stopped working.. so that when I am at home, ie my trusted place, I still have to put in the PINeach time I want to get to the home screen from idle mode. It used to work fine, but I think there is a discrepancy with the GPS, as sometimes it puts in a neighbours address.. but even if I type my address in correctly it still doesn’t work. any help would be appreciated, thank you .

Pixel 3 crashing with third party apps

Hi Hoping someone can help and point me in the right direction for a problem I'm having. I've had my pixel 3 for a few months now and it's been good apart from a really frustrating bug / fault where the phone crashes and restarts or throws up an error message when trying to use the camera from third party apps like WhatsApp. Google acknowledged this bug / fault back in October and said a software fix would come in the next few weeks but my phone is still displaying this issue with theater software installed. I've tried everything recommended from updating all apps, clearing the camera cache, reinstalling the camera app and also tried fully wiping the phone and starting again. Nothing worked and this now seems like it's not a simple software fix. How do I go about getting a replacement phone from ID mobile?

How long does a Reactivation take?

I suspended my sons account early this morning and rung up at tea time to reactivate the account, how long does it take for the sim to start working again, it’s been over 5 hours, I spoke to someone on live chat and they said it should be working to take it to a shop

Data Usage Recorded Incorrectly

Before anyone jump to say search for previous topics, I did. There were topics talking about data usage being different from the phone blabla, i understand that. What I have observed is, if I watch youtube for 30 minutes, ID will say I've used something like 200M but EE says 30M. (Numbers not accurate but can be measured if necessary). Did anyone notice the same and does anyone know why? Thanks.

Number not transferred, live chat not working

Hi, a I’ve been waiting a week after entering my PAC for my old number to be transferred. I have logged in, but the link to live chat is not working. I notice that it says “login” at the top of that page. So I keep logging in again, but every time I get back to the page with the live chat link, it seems to think I’m no longer logged in. Not sure if this is why live chat won’t work. If I was being cynical I might think this was a devious way to cut down the workload for ID! I really don’t want to phone them, because it would be easier to quote order refs and PACs etc in writing. Any clues on how to get live chat working?

ive been told to set my apn as I'm unable to use my phone abroad. However, I can't get this up in setting. if i put my girlfriends sim in this function appears, when I put mine back in it disappears. How can I set something that's not there?..

SIM Not working in the EU

My id mobile sim is fitted into a car and used for data connections. Since crossing the channel i am not able to connect up and use any functionality. My car settings are all set for roaming, and so it appears is my id mobile sim. But end results is that the car doesn't connect to the network. The car knows that Orange F (French network) is about and is supposedly trying to connect, but it never does.

Sim not arrived

I signed up on Tuesday 19th Feb. I had an email saying my sim was dispatched on Tuesday 19th Feb. I had an email on Wednesday 20th Feb billing me! It is Friday 22nd Feb and I still haven't received my sim card. It is very urgent that I get my phone switched over as I'm with TPO who are closing on Tuesday 26th Feb. Could you send me another sim card?
