I recently transferred to id, porting my old number across. The eSIM is activated and the ported number is working for everything. However, the number shown as My Number in Settings-Mobile Service is the one assigned by id and I am unable to change it manually. I have checked that the correct number (ie my old one) is registered with FaceTime, iMessage etc. 

is this a problem and can I change the number shown under My Number?

  1. Open ‘Settings’.
  2. Tap ‘General’.
  3. Tap ‘Transfer or Reset iPhone’.
  4. Tap ‘Reset’.
  5. Select ‘Reset Network Settings’.
  6. Enter your passcode, then tap ‘Reset Network Settings’.
