Happy new year! Think you’ve missed the chance to treat yourself to a great phone deal now that Christmas is over? Think again!

At iD Mobile, we’re all about great offers all year round. And this month, we’ve got some pretty epic deals on Google’s Pixel range. With the best elements of the Android experience combined with 5G connectivity, a powerful chip, a crystal-clear OLED screen and incredible cameras, Google Pixel phones can handle it all.

Both the Google Pixel 4a 5G and the Google Pixel 5 launched in October, and they’re up there with the best smartphones of 2020. The first Google phones packed with 5G compatibility, both the Pixel 4a and Pixel 5 offer incredible download speeds and a stripped-back, clean looking interface that’ll please even the most devoted Apple fans.

We love the cameras on both phones. While they have the same dual 12MP and 16MP Ultra-Wide lens setup, it’s the brilliant AI that’s the star of the show. The Night Sight feature allows you to capture stunning photography in low light without the need to use the flash. And it’s smart enough to detect when the scene you’re shooting is dark, letting you select Night Sight mode with a quick tap.

That AI brings the best out of both phones’ batteries, too. Adaptive Battery learns which apps you rely on the most and gives them priority when it comes to power. The battery can last up to 48 hours with the help of Extreme Battery Saver, so you can leave the charger at home.

Next-Gen Google Assistant

With the help of next-gen Google Assistant, the Google Pixel 4a and Pixel 5G can do practically whatever you ask. Dictate a catch-up message to a mate to send a text without typing, or request that song you can’t wait to hear. Connect up your smart devices and control your tech at home using your voice, or simply set a reminder to turn the oven on at the right time – Google Assistant makes it all possible.

Both phones are available from iD mobile right now, starting from £24.99 a month for the Pixel 4a 5G and £27.99 a month for the Pixel 5. Just tap our handy new Shop button at the top of the Community page to find out more!

Hey @sharonbarnes , I hope you are well :)

Another great idea, this is something we are looking into and hopefully this will come to fruition in the near future :)

Hey @DaveH , you made some great points thanks for that :)

FIX YOUR PAC CODE SYSTEM SO YOU DON’T TRAP PEOPLE WITH A CHAT BOT THAT CANNOT FIX ISSUES AND FORCE THEM TO PAY UNLESS THEY GIVE UP THEIR NUMBERS

Userlevel 1

Great idea SharonBarnes,

Lets hope the iD app designers are watching this

How about being able to access the community through the app? This might encourage users - like me - to get more involved.

Userlevel 1

when they say to good to be true it is except when its community.idmoble.co.uk for a blog what gives sound advice  and free nothing better

Have a family package or plan like some other networks have.  For instance, I have 2 of my family with another network, everything is managed via the app under the one account, and data can be transferred and shared between them, as well as viewing separate bills etc and changing things independantly.  It would be great if we could have a family option like this on EE.  If you have 2 children on the EE network, you have to log in separately to each, then difficulty in adding another person via the same address/bank as showing already 2 contracts.  Missing a trick getting more customers..  The app is sometimes a nightmare recognising log in, have to constantly reset password despite the fact it is correct each time.

ID community is okay, a lot better than some others.  Maybe a loyalty rewards area would be good for weekly treats etc.

Userlevel 1

Let people have more than 2 contracts!

Because I already have them in my name for both my children, I can’t move over to you!

Happy as is

I love your Data Add-on, which flows generously for a whole year.  Should you use up all your Data in any month this 4Gb Add-on kicks in, not only for that month but continues on safe guarding your Plan for a whole year.

It's so comforting, after discovering the shock of unwittingly going over your Data allowance, along with an expensive bill added onto your Plan, to suddenly realize you were protected by this 4Gb Data Add-on, its a sensible form of insurance I suppose.

For a one-off £15 payment this add-on will Protect you for a whole year.

Now, my suggestion is;
to offer the same one year long, ongoing protection for your Phone Call Minutes, give us piece-of-mind iD, every month for those times we may need to over-run our phone minutes.

How about it iD?

...…

Yes asmileischarity,
of course it would be wonderful if we all could benefit by moving from a previously chosen plan which certainly seemed excellent at the time ...only to find its now dropped in price,
but I suppose thats life, and yes £6 for this deal is truely a wonderful offer.

My first contract plan, I think from Vodafone around 1985, was 50p/min, and midway through my contract a similar price plan was on offer at 25p/min, it happens and indeed has done so several times since!

I get by in celebrating these dropping prices and take advantage come my next future purchase.

Hi, Generally very happy with ID mobile. I suppose one thing that would be really great would be to be given the option to switch when a better deal is provided by ID eg the £8pm  bundle was signed upto 6 months ago, now the same bundle is £6pm! Many thanks,

Userlevel 1

Yes 4imix,

Of course your suggestion would be wonderful and indeed I also have been seeking this since the mid-80's!

I don't see why this, lets call it a 'Family Plan', is so difficult to set up and offer, say for up to 5 phones.

I have seen something similar offered in the past, I think on O2, but the way it worked wasn't simple enough to tempt me at the time.

iD may just be the people to resolve it, lets put our faith in them, fingers crossed x

I have 3 idmobile contracts for my family, one thing is really love to to is have them all managed under one account, every other service I've used does this, it's just a massive pain to have to log in and out of each one! Otherwise, all good 😁

ID is incredibly great value and I've been with you for a long time coming. The community is great and you can usually find what you need in it. I might suggest something like a little bit of fun. Like a poll on general things current affairs, favourite things etc help us get to know the community more.

Very new to the community but this all looks super helpful - keep doing what you’re doing! My only suggestion would be to provide data packages for people traveling outside of Europe (or the UK given our exit)

More information on 5G expansion, how it works, how much it costs etc

For the website, a live chat function would be a great addition.

I enjoy getting the newsletter each month and find the content interesting. Perhaps articles which may help older, less tech savvy people would be good from my perspective. Thank you.

Userlevel 1

Some tips on digital security for mobile devices would be great!

Userlevel 2

I am happy with the community as it is. It can be a mistake to go for change just for the sake of it. I can find what I am looking for easily enough. Have you ever heard of KISS: Keep It Simple Stupid.

Overall, I'm happy with the service I've been provided, the signal strength in certain areas around Hull could be better, however.

Everything is good except make it easier to get a second sim card or inform that you need to set up a new account in order to get a second sim card.

Userlevel 1

Only a small thing but I'd like if our data could roll over multiple months rather than just one. I'm very happy with the service I get from ID, I've always found it very easy to upgrade and very competitive prices.

Perhaps offer some sim-free phones for purchase on your website. Other than that, keep up the good work. :relaxed:

Have been happy with your service for a couple of years. Would be nice to speak to a person because have found it difficult through emails etc. Keep up the good work.
