using my phone abroad

Hi 

i’m going to canada and alaska 

and love to use my phone out there can you tell me step by step 

what i need to do with my phone so that i can use my phone there so that it not going to be that much to use or that i do not go over my limit,

It’s worth noting that Canada and the USA are not inclusive roaming areas therefore your allowances won’t be able to be used here, usage would be charged as extra.

Perhaps a local SIM may be better for those countries not included.
