changing over phone number

Hello @Jess Wallace, I don’t think you can change your number via the app.Also, there’s a fee of £25 (I think) for changing your number, if you’re not porting-in a number from another network.Good luck!

Porting Issue

Hello @ace12735, I think iD are having problems with porting numbers at the moment.Recently, it seems the OFCOM mandated 1 day port process isn’t working for iD. Quite a few customers seem to be having problems at the moment.Good luck!

PAC code isse

Hello @Harry Laundon, you wouldn’t normally use a PAC code to port a number from one iD IMEI to another iD IMEI. Normally a PAC is used when you change your mobile network service provider.I believe you can keep your previous iD number, but I think there might be charge for doing this.Good luck!

Can' upgrade new sim - will not send code

Hello @tachograph, recently there have been ongoing issues with the sending out of the iD security code SMS messages.You could try the online chat service - they should be able to help with activation; you might need your customer service PIN though.Good luck!

Poor / No Signal

Hello @Leeroy605, if your mobile phone supports Wi-Fi Calling, and it’s on the supported devices list (see WiFi Calling | What Is WiFi Calling? | iD Mobile Network and Wi-Fi Calling & 4G Calling | Join the discussion, ask questions, share advice. (idmobile.co.uk)) that might be an option - for the three locations you mentioned.In my experience, iPhones seem best option for Wi-Fi Calling because they are supported by all the UK mobile networks. Android phone Wi-Fi Calling support is getting better though. Good luck!

Poor / No Signal

@Leeroy605, living in a mobile not-spot, I rely entirely on Wi-Fi Calling at my home and have been doing so since 2018. The Wi-Fi Calling service has been reliable in that time, but does depend on decent broadband from good internet service provider. Hope it works for you too.

VOICEMAIL PIN NOT ACCEPTED

Hello @MUM0001, this caught me out too initially. I had the same problem.The voicemail uses a quick access option by default, so even if you set a PIN it’s not used until you turn off the quick access to voicemail option.I can’t remember the exact sequence of numbers you need to get to this option, but I found it fairly quickly by trial and error.Once this option is OFF, your PIN will be needed to access your voicemail. Good luck!

Hi @MUM0001,I think by default iD voicemail uses something called “Fast Login”.This means even if you're calling from your own phone, you can access your voicemail without entering a PIN. This happens even if you've previously set-up a PIN.For even greater voicemail security, turn off “Fast Login” - turn it off in just a few steps:Dial 123 to access your voicemail Select option 4 Select option 2 Select option 2 Finally, select option 1Once you hang up, you'll always need your PIN to access your voicemail, even when calling from your own phone.I hope this helps - good luck!

Hello @MUM0001, sorry as I’ve misunderstood your problem.You could try and turn-off your voicemail, from your online account or the app; perhaps if iD reset the PIN for you when your voicemail service is OFF, you might be successful when you turn it on again.Good luck!

@CJW, you could try looking at the “https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-use-the-samsung-email-app/” online support page (by Samsung).This page has a section about “Managing Spam emails and addresses” - within this section are instructions on how to remove email addresses you no longer want to ‘mark’ as spam.I hope this helps - good luck!

Mistake with change of plan

Hello again @Zebidee,I believe iD send out a new SIM card out automatically in most cases. This is for instance if you’ve switched phones and it needs a new SIM type.I think for upgrades and changes the new SIM card won't normally be activated, but you can activate it yourself in the online account. If you do, I believe iD simply transfer over to the new SIM.You can also keep it as a spare, in-case you ever need it in the future.What does it say about your plan in your online account dashboard?The 24/7 chat bot isn’t great - iD Live Chat has real people from 9am to 8pm Mon - Fri and 9am to 6pm for weekends and bank holidays.Good luck!
