I Have just joined and got a 30 day contract sim only, for my son. Im really impressed and would lime to join myself. Can I get another sim on the same account?

Not receivng confirmation text and/or email from apps

I recently upgrade my handset from a Samsung J3 to a Samsung A70, I received a new sim and used the Samsung Smart Switch to transfer all my data from one device to the other. I'm having issues with the Facebook App I am not receiving the Security code which is normally sent via text when logging in from a new device, i have pressed re-send etc... but still nothing. I was wondering whether a new sim (with same number) would be the issue as I have received confirmation text from other apps?

SMS & Calls not working after porting number

Hello I changed companies from 02 to ID and ported my number. I received a message saying that this was done on 12/8. It's been a week and I still cannot receive or send texts or make or receive phone calls from numbers that are not ID. Can you help? Thank you! Elena

Changing name, gender, and username

I've recently changed my name, gender and title and it seems I can't update any of these on the app or the website. Also my username on both the app and this community contains my deadname which I'd really rather not be exposed to ever again. How can I change these details? Or if I can't who do I contact about changing them?

No number on SIM card

I've just received a new SIM card from ID. I've inserted the card and restarted my Android phone. The SIM is identified and connects to the ID network, there appears to be a connection but there is no number displayed in the phone settings and 'Unknown' is displayed. Service state is 'In service' and the Signal Strength @118 dBm 22 asu' and Mobile data network type is 'IWLAN'. Mobile network is @disconnected'. I can't use the SIM to make calls I can't register an online account without the number. Not sure what to do with this.

phone not working abroad

I am currently on holiday in Canada. I don't want to use phone for data but would like to be able to make/ receive calls and texts. My phone is connected to a network but not getting any service. I've manually tried all available connections and none of them work. I also have returned the APN to default settings as I read in some forums that it could be an issue. The phone is still not working! Help! It's a Google pixel 3a so should be able to work in Canada.

switch on roaming when already abroad

I am in France, and don't seem to be able to use my mobile data I have switched on roaming both in the id app and on my handset. I have had a message saying it's because I didn't turn on roaming before I left my home network. Surely there must be some way to enable it from abroad? The only reason I bought this SIM was so I would have I internet access on this trip when I will rarely have access to WiFi.

Apple vs. Android

At the moment I have an iPhone 6; I used to have a Sony Android mobile. I changed over to Apple because everyone I am in contact with has an iPhone and I also own an iPad. Wouldn’t it create problems with compatibility if I changed back to Android with a Samsung phone?

hospital signal important

I was in hospital today and it’s important that you have a signal so that you can be in touch with your loved ones unfortunately I don’t know how but connecting to the Wi-Fi did not work it would be most appreciated id would improve the signal near hospitals or put small transmitter inside the hospitals or something Queen Elizabeth Hospital Glasgow

Thinking about switching to Android from Apple… anyone done it and can comment on the transition? Is the grass really that much greener?! Currently looking at either the Huawei P20 Pro or the Mate 20 Pro as alternatives to some of the newer apple models.

early upgrade

Hi there, my sister was able to upgrade in July of this year and her contract was running out September. She contacted ID and told her that if she paid off her June bill that she could upgrade earlier than July, and it worked for her so she’s upgraded (she’s also on a much cheaper plan than I am) anyway, I assumed I’d also be able to do this and paid off my August bill early so I could upgrade earlier than September yet it won’t let me? It still tells me that my upgrade is in September. I need a new phone for September when I join uni because some of the apps that will be used are not compatible on the SE or the 6 due to hardware restrictions and the apps are for iPhones 7 and above.

Pixel XL 2 Charging fault

My pixel XL 2 turns off when a charger is put into its port, I have tried cleaning out the connectors, using a different charger and resetting the phone but this issues still persists. At times it will just turn itself off without a charger plugged in but this is fairly irregular, thankfully. Anyone got any ideas of how to fix this issue?

4G Calling (VoLTE) on Honor Play

I am trying to move to iD Mobile as my phone - Honor Play - is supposed to work with 4G Calling (VoLTE) and Wi-Fi Calling. I can get Wi-Fi calling to work although it is disappointing that it only works if there is weak mobile signal rather than whenever suitable Wi-Fi is available. Is it possible for calls to go over Wi-Fi rather than the mobile network whenever a suitable Wi-Fi network is available or is how it is working just how it works? The bigger issue is 4G Calling (i.e. VoLTE). I have found that the phone always drops to 3G when making a call. Also no VoLTE icon appears. Both of these would indicate that VoLTE is not being used. I called 7777 but the person I spoke to said that was correct i.e. they seem to have had no idea what VoLTE is or how it works. I tried dialing #*#*4636#*#* as I saw in another post and get an error message "connection problem or invalid MMI code" which suggests something maybe wrong... How can I get in touch with someone to see why VoLTE doesn't s

i recently ordered a contract through carphone warehouse for ID network i have now received an email from carphone warehouse stating this: due to an increased volume of orders there has been a delay in processing your order. there is no need to do anything as we will send you an email update once we have received this information from the network. we apologise for the time it has taken to process your order and appreciate your cooperation at this busy time of the year. kind regards carphone warehouse. Mate 20 pro signal strength

Hi. I just made a switch from Samsung Galaxy J5 to Huawei Mate 20 pro and i had notice a huge difference in signal strength. The same sim card, same place and on Samsung i had 4g and full bars and on Huawei i have no service, its happening indoors, seems fine outside. I notice Huawei is a lot worse then my old Samsung in this matter. I read that some phones have issues with antenna. So i wonder if mine is faulty or it is just how a mate 20 pro is :D Regards

Wifi calling but no VoLTE in either Note 9 or S9.

Hi. Joined iD this week on Paym plan. Wifi calling works fine but no VoLTE/4g calling. Tried with a few phones including Note 9 and S9 - both bought directly from Samsung UK, neither show VoLTE. Checked coverage and 4G calling enabled in my area. Phone is setup right, used VoLTE with EE before. Any ideas? Wonder if the CSC code or something to do with the particular Note 9 model is not fully set up on the iD side, but weird that wifi calling works.

Hi team I am in Fiji and am getting no service at all. Roaming is switched on in my account and on my phone. I have checked the coverage and I should get signal. I have tried manually selecting a network. I am using an iPhone 8. help please!!

How to get ID SIM working in tablet

I have an iD SIM and it's working in my phone for calls and data. I have a non branded tablet that accepts 2 x SIM so I inserted my iD SIM in to the Tablet. It detects the SIM and identifies the carrier as 3, but it says there is no mobile data. I tried a O2 SIM in the tablet and it worked fine - I could use data and make calls using the tablet with the O2 SIM. So why does the iD SIM not work? What can I do to make it work? The tablet runs on Android 8 Thanks

I was in the middle of downloading a map over WiFI when a message came up telling me I'd reached my limit and I can't finish the download Why is there a limit on data via WiFi? This has never happened before with my previous provider.

WiFi Calling not working?

i used to get WiFi calling at home but this has now stopped. I can still get it at work. I have reset the router and have tried resetting the Network settings in my iPhone.
