switch on roaming when already abroad

I am in France, and don't seem to be able to use my mobile data
I have switched on roaming both in the id app and on my handset.
I have had a message saying it's because I didn't turn on roaming before I left my home network.
Surely there must be some way to enable it from abroad?
The only reason I bought this SIM was so I would have I internet access on this trip when I will rarely have access to WiFi.

Hi @Julkagumka,

You should still be able to turn roaming on whilst you are away to get it to work.

Which phone are you using? Often, the phone may have automatically used incorrect settings that, although they may work in the UK, they won't work when abroad. If you are using an Android phone, you can head to the Access Point Names (APN) settings and reset these to default. Once done, choose iD Mobile and it should start working.
