early upgrade

Hi there, my sister was able to upgrade in July of this year and her contract was running out September. She contacted ID and told her that if she paid off her June bill that she could upgrade earlier than July, and it worked for her so she’s upgraded (she’s also on a much cheaper plan than I am)

anyway, I assumed I’d also be able to do this and paid off my August bill early so I could upgrade earlier than September yet it won’t let me? It still tells me that my upgrade is in September. I need a new phone for September when I join uni because some of the apps that will be used are not compatible on the SE or the 6 due to hardware restrictions and the apps are for iPhones 7 and above.

From what I understand here, the difference between yours and your sisters contract is that your contract is eligible for an upgrade from september and your sisters was ending that month. It means that she was able to upgrade in July because iD is offering 60 days early upgrade. Since your upgrade is due in September it means that your contract is ending in November and unfortunately you cannot extend the 60 days offered by them, if that make sense.
