Why is it cheaper to take a new contract out via uswitch than upgrade?

It is cheaper for me to buy a new contract through uswitch than directly upgrade with ID Mobile? I am currently on a £10 per month 30 day rolling contract.I can get a phone & contract for £34.99 a month with uswitch, but it would cost £36.99 a month (plus £30 upfront cost) with ID direct.Bit weird?

default sim CARD PIN CODE

I HAVE A ID MOBILE SIM CARD WANT TO ADD A SIM LOCK TO CARD HAVE TRIED 2 TIMES TO DO IT THIED TIME IT WILL LOCK OUT I HAVE PUCK CODES 1 AND 2 BUT WHAT IS THE DEFAULT CODE SHIPPED  OUT WITH USING AN I PHONE  THANKS

Can't make any calls or send text messages

Yesterday I was not able to make any of my calls nor sending text messages and still I am not. Why this is happening?! I can't even contact the technical support. Some people could not get through to me as well and when I try make a call it says that 'the number has not been recognised'. When sending SMS it gives me error code 28. Is it all conected with me transfering my old number? If it is so problematic then don't transfer it. I need to be able to use the phone!

I seem to have two phone numbers and text messaging wont work

I switched to ID mobile a few months ago from EE. I specifically said I wantd to keep my old number. Since being with ID I seem to have two phone numbers and i have to switch between them to make calls, I am not sure which number others see or which one im using at any time, often people dont pick up my calls as they dont recognise the “new number” (that I never wanted!). Also I can’t seem to send any texts from either number. Do you have any idea what the problem might be?

Hi iv put through an order to be delivered, gone through all the payment stuff and says your orders being processed. I haven't received an email receipt or anything I was just wondering if it's gone through or not?

accidentally deactivated my sim card, help :)

I am in Australia and have accidentally deactivated my ID mobile sim. It now won't let me reactivate it. I deactivated it around the 22nd October. Is there any way I can get my number etc back???Lucy

Can I cancel a PAC request once submitted to anither provider? i have changed my mind about leaving iD.

I have just submitted my PAC code to Sky to move my iD number but I’ve changed my mind and want to keep the iD account.

2 contracts on 1 account

I have a current account for my son as sim only and have just taken out a new pay monthly phone contract for my daughter.  When i go on the app i can only see my sons account but not my daughters.  I cannot transfer her old number from an existing phone provider to the new Id mobile account.  It wants to change my sons existing number to my daughters old number on the app??   Help please?

Are there any add on packages to buy inclusive minutes for use whilst abroad in Thailand

My previous network provider offered add ons which could be bought either whilst you are away or before you traveled for a set number of minutes of calls from the country you are going to, avoiding hefty bills when you return. Does ID do this please and if so could you post a link to the web pages as i can't find anything on there about add-ons for international calling. I'm going to Thailand which is outside the 50 covered countries and according to the charges on the website it looks like £2.40 per minute which is outrageous. Thanks

Unlimted data in Europe for 2 month trip actually unlimited?

We will be leaving the UK on March 18th driving to Austria then through Switzerland France Spain and Portugal before returning home on June 1st.  The fair usage and open data policy have me confused. “Roam like at home” is used in marketing material but on the fair usage page, it seems to suggest i could only use 15.44gb when i enter the cost of my sim only plan which will be £20/month. Please can someone let me know in simple terms whether the unlimited plans are truly unlimited in Europe or are capped at 15.44 gb? Also are speeds reduced after certain amount of data used?

new sim card wont activate or register but i can make emergency calls

Hi, I received my brand new SIM card today 9/4/2020.  In a brand new phone I can only make emergency calls.   Its a pay monthly sim its not an upgrade. i have an existing number using the same email address I registered this phone on and in that portal 8 do not see my new number or plan. i have tried switching on and off several times i have tried reinserting the sim card i have tried asking for activation  please help. Very exasperated.  No call centre to assist right now. May have to cancel the  direct debit   thanks

Roaming Issue's in Spain

I set my roaming option on before I went to Spain then after speaking to customer service went through the reset of APN settings various times. It didn't work the 1st or 10th time. This impacted on my work as it made it really difficult to check emails. I could only use wifi hotspots and there weren't many where we were staying. I am curious to know that this issue only happened with ID. I have been going to the same place in Spain for years and never had a problem with other providers.

i have lost my phone insurance asking Proof of Usage (mobiles / SIM devices only)

I have lost phone few days ago and i now my insurance asking me. following evidence.proof of blacklisting mobile sim devices only, written confirmation.since ID does not have someone to talk on a phone, i have blocked the sim online and also reported automated service.Proof of usage mobile sim devices only, proof of usage include device make, model and IMEI Numberand the first and last date device used.can someone help me please?

Partner had trouble with IDs back end resulting in Over dales perusing us for money

Hello all, I'm looking for a bit of advice.  Essentially, there has been a huge roadblock caused by the incorrect setup of, subsequent delay in getting it fixed, and now payments due on my partner's ID mobile account. We had never used ID before and so both ended up getting new phones on pay monthly contracts a short few months before the pandemic began. At this point it is almost two years since and we have had no end of problems in almost all areas, with service availability, technical and account problems, payments not processing and more. To the point where we were over the moon to find what appeared to be a cheap, reliable and efficient phone contract company which as we have now since found out is nothing of the sort.  To cut to the chase, as a couple all of our combined earnings come solely from me as a minimum wage vape shop worker as my partner is permanently on benefits due to extremely severe mental and physical health problems, including but not limited to crippling anxiety

PAC code not processed

I have received a message which said: “We have tried to process your PAC/STAC but we ran into an issue - the iD mobile number, last name or transaction number you entered is incorrect. Please contact Customer Services www.idmobile.co.uk/contact-us”. I then checked all the details and they are correct. I retried it and it did not work.

Slow internet speed

I am having very poor download and upload speed since the last 3 days. I don’t have a broadband connection and rely on the mobile hot spot for data. I have not made any changes to my setup - I have been using the same mobile phone and kept it in the usual place since the last few months, but since 3 days the signal has been really bad. Can you kindly help?

My mum accidentally ordered a new SIM instead of upgrading her existing plan. How does she cancel the order?

My mum has been with ID for a while. She wanted to upgrade her plan to one that gives her unlimited minutes, but unfortunately, she somehow managed to place an order for a new SIM instead. I had a look and found the option to upgrade her existing plan, which I have done for her, but I can’t see any way to cancel the order she placed, nor does there seem to be any way to contact customer services. Can you please advise me what she should do, as I don’t want her to be charged for a second SIM that she will never use? Many thanks.

Following email from iD re fingerprint login I tried to use it. However no small register screen appeared when I logged in. I tried the change preferences option but when I picked fingerprint - nothing happened. Anyone else had similar problem???

iDmobile SIM in a mifi abroad

I want to use my iDmobile SIMi n a TO Link mifi abroad. I have roaming switched on in the mifi but still do not have internet. Has anyone had any success and have recommendations? I have looked at APN settings for iDmobile but they seem only to apply to mobile phones (android and iOS) not mifi. Many thanks for your help

A week since PAC port and old number still hasn’t ported!

Hi, from Vodafone started porting process to ID on Monday 29th Nov. The following day I called Vodafone who confirmed port was in progress and by lunchtime my old SIM stopped working. The number is now not recognised when you call it. So far so good...However my new ID sim has not changed, I have had 3 online chats with customer services who reassure me there is a ‘delay’ and ID are working hard to progress my request, but it feels like a generic response and no-one seems to actually look into my case specifically or escalates to tech support for example.I’m just told to wait for a text stating process complete, but it is yet to materialise.It has been a week now, which feels well past a ‘delay’, is this normal? Can anyone help me escalate this? Thanks!

No signal inside or outside unless using wifi calling

I have no signal at all inside or outside my house unless I am connected to WiFi and it's saying no service even when connected to WiFi. I had to swap phones from my Samsung Galaxy S20 to an Huawei P20 Lite as I had smashed my LCD and not prepared to spend £300 to fix it, my Huawei was on ID as it was my first phone with yous so I don't see any problems why it wouldn't work I've tried the signal checker and it says very good in your area, I've tried restart my phone, airplane mode, turning my phone on and off and still nothing, I need this sorted.

I need a PAC code

We are leaving ID mobile and have a new sim to put into the phone. We need a PAC code apparently to do this. I have text ID mobile asking for a pac code and it just says send date of birth and the word ‘pac’ to 65075. We have done this several times and it Just keeps saying the same message repeating over and over. We are getting nowhere and are now paying  for 2 sims. van someone please advise us what to do?  many thanks

No network coverage

My mother and father are on their 7 day of bad coverage and emergency calls only. I have turned their phones off and on, I have moved around but there is no network and I have even removed the sim cards and it's still the samel. They are vulnerable and are paying for phones they cannot use. Did ring customer service last week but were not helpful.  Please help?   Rhian
