transfering old number

Hello

Ive been trying to transfer my old number online but i need transaction number to do that,i didn't recive any receipt with my phone and dont know where to get it from.My order number is 113017686

Try heading to https://my.idmobile.co.uk/ if you don’t have the transaction number.

Register for an iD account.

Then log-in and click My Services followed by Keep your number

 

You can submit the port here without a transaction number.

My number has been transferred over successfully but when people text or ring me it's says number invalid. Live chat is appalling as it has cut me off twice as it cannot resolve my query

Hello @A.harris,

Is this an iPhone by any chance?

Try this:

1)    Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2)    Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3)    Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct. 
4)    If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
5)    Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6)    Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”.

I don't have an iPhone it's an android and I've been into settings and nothing works

How long ago did you port the number across? Have you tried removing the SIM and powering down the handset for 10 minutes?
