I’m attempting to activate my new SIM but the text message is not arriving. I’ve used the email option as well without success

@Eva McCrory,

Is it a new SIM or a replacement SIM? New sims come activated already so it may be worth turning the handset off for a few minutes and restarting it.

Can you advise if you are activating the new SIM via the below link?

Hi @Patrick Goffin,

You can simply text the words PAC to the number 65075 from the iD SIM card.

A PAC code will then be texted to you and you can give that to the new network provider who will port your number out.

As well as that, you can even log into the iD app/account.

Click My Account  then End my plan and when asked if you want to keep your number, just select Yes.

We can send you a new SIM through the post or you can pop into your local Curry’s store to get a new one.

Let us know which option you prefer?

Have you tried viewing your monthly bill to find a breakdown of the charge?

This should explain what the charge is for and how much this is as well as the date this was incurred.

Our phones are sold unlocked to any UK network, have you tried another UK SIM card in the device?

Hi @David Thompson  every time someone comments or replies to your post you should receive a system email directly from the iD Community. In the email you can simply click the bolded or hyperlinked text and it should take you straight to the topic with the comments. Alternatively, you can click your profile picture and then select topics, you will then be able to select the topic in question and see all responses.

My ‘Topics’ are zero so that didn’t work… I get messages about replies to other topics I’ve commented on.. are these notifications about other people also replying to that particular topic or people replying to my comment on the topic?  It’s most confusing and not very intuitive?

If not, I’d recommend contacting the FacebookTwitter or Live Chat teams so they can take a look at your order.

My wife and I sent letters requesting cancellation of our mobile phones as we are now back in the United States and we never received any acknowledgment that they were honoring our request. There are three phones altogether. After this month our bank accounts over here will be closed. Trying to get through on the Chat to talk to their bot or a customer sales person is impossible and we are not going to pay international call rates on my sister’s phone here in the USA. Can someone please tell us how we can get an answer from these people because we are fed  up with trying.

Hi @Dale A McIntier, the quickest way to get this resolved would be to speak to the FacebookTwitter or Live Chat teams as they’ll be able to offer assistance much more quickly than we can on the Community.

Just type “Speak to an agent” to be put through on the Live Chat.
