Number spoofed

Hi!

I believe my number has been spoofed. I've had two calls in 2 weeks following up on a "missed call" from my number, despite me never calling them or having any contact.

I'm wondering how I go about having my number changed - am unhappy about the prospect of having to spend £25 to fix something that isn't my fault.

Anyone have any insight?

Hello @chrispy2117,

 

Number changes have a one-off cost of £25.00.

It would be free if:

  1. we have to complete the change due to a fault of iD Mobile
  2. You have a crime reference number 

If you don’t fall into the above categories, we can’t do this without applying the charge.

Hi 

 

The same thing has happened to me also, it started around a month ago and I’ve received about 6 calls in total from people. I’ve just asked a question about it here, to see if anyone else has been through the same thing. 

 

I reported it online to the police and to action fraud, as I’m sure it’s a caller ID spoof. But, I’m the same as you, don’t really want to pay to change my number when it’s not my fault.

A Number Change and carries a charge of £25.00. If you have a Crime Reference number and changing numbers due to this, we can waive the charge.
