How do I get a PAC code that works?

How many people have to ask for correct PAC code before the company start sending out the correct ones right away 

 

It's taken hours 

 

I just want a working PAC code 

 

So do a lot of people 

 

Is it a ploy to get people to renew contracts just to keep their phone numbers?

 

A lot of questions on here are about PAC codes not working

 

So is the Google page 

 

Paid a contract for a year and this is the first time I ask for anything and it's a complete mess 

 

Obviously having no customer service should have been a huge red flag 

 

I'm not on social media so I have to spend my time and effort making an account to post one question that I'm probably not going to get answered any time soon 

 

I.D completely spoiled the customer satisfaction right at the end of the contract.

I’ve received a valid PAC from iD Mobile each time I’ve requested one.

The switching process has worked well on the occasions I’ve used it to port my mobile number from iD.

In my experience, the best way of getting customer support is through iD Mobile’s social media team - contact them as follows:

  1. Send iD a private message on facebook (using Messenger).
  2. Send a DM (direct message) to iD on Twitter.

Any out-of-hours messages left on facebook or Twitter are picked-up when the iD social media team next start work.

If using the iD online chat at https://idmobile.co.uk/live-chat, try typing “talk to a person” after you’re connected (to avoid the bot) - the iD agents work until 8pm on weekdays. 

You should also be able to get a PAC by sending the text PAC DDMMYY to 65075, where is the DoB linked to the iD account with the number you want to keep.

Follow the steps and select Yes when asked if you want to keep your number.

Alternatively, you can follow the steps above and text to get a PAC code.

iD Mobile don’t offer services to business, personal use only.

Also, by posting over and over the same short rants you’re making life harder for yourself in the way of getting a quick resolution to your problems.

It’s all in the terms and conditions you agreed to upon signing up.

  • 5.3 You may use the Services only as set out in this Agreement and for your own personal use. This means you must not resell or commercially exploit any of the Services or content.
  • 5.9 We are providing the SIM Card and the Services solely for your own personal use (and not for any business purposes) and you may not re-sell or otherwise act as any form of distributor in respect of the SIM Card, the Content, the Services or your number, code or any associated number. You must not connect a GSM Gateway to the Network or otherwise establish, install or use a GSM Gateway in relation to the Network or the Services without our prior written consent, which may be withheld at our absolute discretion.

I brought up the issue because you said you have a business account? You can’t have a business account because iD Mobile do not offer services to businesses. 

Anyway, A PAC code isn’t matched up against an account holders name and so this shouldn’t be the reason for your issue. Who are you trying to port to?

Can someone help? I have a legitimate PAC from EE but when I enter the other data - which is also copied word for word I get an error message saying “We've tried to process your PAC, but there is an issue with the information you've submitted. Please check that you have provided the correct details and try again”

 

I have entered the information and checked it so many times and tried alternatives I know it off by heart!
