Cannot make or receive calls since joining iD mobile.

Since i have started my contract with iD ive been unable to make or receive any phone calls. I've complained a couple of times and nothing has happened. I have even went to Curry's and they put in a new sim that still has not rectified the problem.

I've missed hospital appointments for a cancer scan and even phone calls from my doctors. Evan my friends cannot phone. I wished that I never went with iD mobile.

Hi @TomGore

I’m sorry to hear this, how are texts and data?

What happens when you attempt to make a call?

Tom

I would receive the odd text message from the doctors. When it comes to the data I cannot do any downloads of any kind.

And when I try to make a call it will ring once then cut off and it's the same when someone is trying to ring me it rings once then cuts off.

Roll on next year when my contract is ending as I will no be renewing it.

Hey there @TomGore, sorry to hear that.

Have you tried restarting your phone and resetting network settings?

How long (days, months or years) has this issue been going on for please?

Thanks,

Tyler

Hi Tyler. Thank you for your message, yes I tried everything from turning my phone off and on, putting in a new sim, and taking it to Curry's and checking all the settings.

It's been like this since I have been with iD. Sorry told a little lie the only call that I could get and that was if and when.

Tom

I have the same issue. I can make calls with WiFi calling, but if I am out of the house, calls don't come through and don't even show up on my missed calls at all. I also can't make calls. When I start the call it just remains silent and does not begin the ring tone. It will stay silent for as long as I leave it.

Very occasionally a call will come through on my mobile when I don't have WiFi, but this is a rarity.

This has been happening for the past month that I have had an ID sim. I have reset my network settings and restarted my phone multiple times fo no avail.

Hi @TomGore & @Mike Elders

Okay, please could you let us know the postcode(s) where you have these problems?

All iD Mobile plans have a cooling off period in which you can return your plan should you find the coverage is not for you, was this not considered?

Tom

I have also had the same issue with making calls and receiving them. Got my contract in August after leaving Tesco mobile. My husband has also canged over at the same time but he has no issues. only difference is he just used the sim in his old Tesco phone and kept the new phone ID sent as a back up. I'm using the new phone a samsung A15 5G and it's been awful! Not happy.....

@smay @Rosemary Haig,

It could be a simple fix by updating your number in your settings.

However please contact our Live Chat Team and they can check the port and troubleshoot the issue.

Hi @Nigel Mills

You’re still having the issue of your SIM not working in areas where your Wife’s (also on iD Mobile) works just fine, correct?

A replacement SIM has been tried, you have tried your SIM in her device, correct?

Hi @NooNoo12

It doesn’t sound like you’re in the same boat or having the same issues, your other post mentions issues with calls and your battery.

If you do find issues in your cooling off period, we would recommend getting in contact, it’s not that we’re not reliable outside of the cooling off period, you just have the ultimate option of deciding to return within your cooling off period. If you only mention issues after the cooling off period, we may be limited on what can be done.

We’ve responded to your other post. Please refrain from spamming other posts who do not have the same issue as yourself.
