Hi

Is it possible to cancel my mobile phone contract for my partner who used the phone and sadly passed away, even though the phone is in my name?

While I sympathise with you, if the contract was or is in your name then you cannot break the agreement without paying an early termination fee.

Regarding the issue of raising a complaint, have a read of the following:

Hi there,

Sorry to hear of your recent bereavement and I hope your doing OK.

You can cancel your mobile agreement at any time by providing 30 days notice. Please remember if you're in contract that term fees would apply.

If the contract is under the person's name that has passed away then you would need to supply a death certificate to confirm this.

Hi

Is there nothing that can be done without getting the early termination fees, as the contract was in my name, I can send back the phone which she used?

Can this be escalated if not?
