Recently Switched My Number To ID


I have recently (18/03/25) switched my number from 3 to ID mobile and the switch completed. Only issue I have is that no one can call or text me. If they call it says “number not recognised”.

Sound like it might be a split port. Are you able to call out?

Probably best to resolve this issue by using the iD online Live Chat service, to speak to a customer adviser ​@Heaney91   

The advisers work until 8pm on weekdays and 6pm on weekends - just tell the 24/7 chatbot you’d like to “talk to a person

iPhone 16. I’ve tried changing the number on the phone settings, reset the network settings and take the sim out n stuff. I currently waiting on a new sim being delivered.

still not working. Tried all the stuff again with this sim and nothing.

When you try to change your number in settings, do you get an error, or does it just keep spinning/loading?

It lets me save the number as I’ve kept the same number but when you go to FaceTime and message app in the settings it’s spinning/loading the number

You need to toggle off iMessage and FaceTime and switch the phone off and on again. Then toggle iMessage and FaceTime back on and then leave it and it should sort itself out.

Might be worth getting a replacement SIM which has no initial number attached to it.

Hey there ​@Heaney91, as kindly advised by ​@MZone, it’s definitely worth trying a free, replacement SIM. Please take a look at the link sent by ​@MZone to find out how to get one.

 

If that doesn’t work, then we’d advise getting back in touch so we can raise to our technical team via any of our platforms, but I’d also recommend checking in with Apple if it’s an iMessage or FaceTime issue.

I got a replacement sim on Tuesday this week and didn’t work even with all the troubleshooting done again. ID have raised it with their technical team
