Charges for changing billing day

Hi has anybody ever been charged for changing the day of a direct debit going out 

this lot have charged me £25.01 for changing my billing day from the first to the second

Hey there ​@joewol, thank you for reaching out.

 

Please note, you do not get charged for changing your direct debit date. If you do change it however, then your next bill is likely to be slightly more than usual, because it’s a longer billing period. This means you’re not technically being charged more for your contract altogether, you’re just being charged more this one instance because it’s a longer billing period.

Changing the date from the first to the third doesn't extend any billing period  it's a hidden charge which quite frankly is disgusting

Hi ​@joewol,

It’s likely that the affect won’t take place until the following month so you’ll be charged for nearly 2 months.

You can view the billing period from your bill.

Is the billing period, for the bill with the extra charges, one-month or longer than one-month, ​@joewol?
