data connection

I can make calls but data connection now almost none existent. I get a connection about 10% of times but mostly nothing despite having 4g and four bars for signal. It has gotten progressively worse over the past six months. I have tried all the usual fixes but none of them seem to be the problem. Has the signal been down graded recently?

it’s infuriating!

Thanks. It may be the switching off of 3G that’s doing it. Otherwise there a lot of “maybe” factors that affect coverage!

I'm having the same issues. The Three network checker says "We're working on the network I this area" could this be the issue? If so, is there anyway to see how long it's expected to be? Data is completely unusable all around town

Works is probably connected to the Three UK (the iD network partner) 3G shutdown happening across the UK by end of 2024, @Hillt96.

Personnel could be working on cell towers / backhaul network in your area for a period of time. When the Three UK network is congested, they use TrafficSense system to manage bandwidth, which might happen while this works is ongoing.
