Setting up voicemail notifications

Hi,

 

 I have voicemail set ups but I am not notified if I have outstanding voicemail. I see from other contributors that there is away to get a sms message sent to say you are voicemail but I cannot find how to set this up.  Also I can’t see if I have missed calls - any advice on this would be most appreciated.
