Wi fi calling

We live in Devon and are about to buy a house in a more rural area but have discovered it is a mobile blackspot with no signal at all. We both work from home so being able to use our mobiles without a hitch is essential. The current owners said they use Wifi calling which works well for them. I’m with ID and have a Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 which appears to be compatible. Aware I need to do any system update too. I just want to be certain that Wifi calling is guaranteed to give us the coverage we need before we go ahead with the house purchase as we don’t want to risk the  extra hassle or expense of discovering once we’re in there that we cannot use our mobiles. Thanks.

Hey @Amy P, I live in a North Devon mobile not-spot, and rely on WiFi Calling service.

My landline broadband Internet connection is provided by BT, and I’ve found WiFi Calling worked well with my iPhone 7 and iPhone 12, and now with my iPhone 13. It also works well on my daughter’s Galaxy S10.

Hey there @Amy P, thank you for getting in touch.

Firstly, please take a look at our coverage checker to see what your signal is likely to be like within your new area:

As long as your phone is compatible and provides Wi-Fi calling as a feature, then there should be no issues with using it, and using it well.

If you do of course have any issues with it, then please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.

You can find out more information about our Wi-Fi calling below:

Thank you,

Tyler
