Hi All, but especially to the iD Employees in this thread. 

My wife is having issues with her new iphone 16 plus and ported telephone number that she received on Friday (28.2.2025). 

The phone is ok, but since iD mobile ported her old number (from Smarty) she is unable to receive any texts or phone calls. 

She can call out and she can text out, and when she does the recipient knows its coming from her phone (i.e. it uses her number) but when you try to call her phone we just get a message saying the number is not in service, and if we try to text they get sent from the deli8very phone but never arrive on her phone.

iD, via our local Curry’s store, have already swapped the sim over, but the issues are still happening. We have spent so much time on live chats with iD since Monday and are getting nowhere. What should we do next? She is getting to the end of here tether and is threatening to cancel and give the phone back. 

 

As the old sim is now cancelled, she has no phone to use, and she needs her phone for her work :-(

Sorry to hear this, have they checked their number in the settings is the correct one?

 

Settings > Apps > Phone > My Number

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunatley yes, this has been checked and reset.

We have spoken to Apple, and they have checked all the settings on the phone, and they have said they are correct. They have said it is a "carrier" issue, meaning iD or Smarty 😩

Dont know if you can help or advise. 

After waiting to 48 hours, my wifes phone still wont accept any calls or text messages. Its all down to a number port issue apparently. 

When she chased this up this mornimg, aparently your Tech team had this as a problem resolved on their system. So now she has to wait another 48 hours! Is there anyway we csn escalate this higher, or quicker?
