changing to ID sim only after current ID contract ends

Hi I'm trying to swap to ID sim only when my current pay monthly ID contact comes to an end in 29 days. I've followed the advice given in the community forum but I don't get the option to swap to a new sim only plan when I click on the “change my plan” button. What am I doing wrong? Do I have to wait until the last day of my current contract (29 days) or will that mean I have to pay for an additional month at my current rate? I cannot find a way to contact ID to sort this out. The chat bot assistant just referred me to links in the community forums.

Welcome to the Community!

If you are wanting to upgrade from a handset contract to a SIM only contract, you’ll need to wait until the contract has expired.

Once the contract has expired you can check the offers again and you should see the SIM only upgrade options. If you still don’t see any offers our Sales Team can help.
