I recently (01/12/2024) went to upgrade my contract from a Galaxy s22 with unlimited everything for just over £36pm to a Pixel 9 pro with unlimited everything for around £34pm. I noted that the upgrades menu stated the pixel 9 pro was out of stock but still available to order so went agead with the order, adding a 10000ma power bank to the order at the checkout.
A payment was taken of £19.99 for the powerbank, but nothing for the contract upgrade, and no confirmation email or anything. So what has happened? has the contract not gone through and I just bought a powerbank in an overly roundabout fashion, or does the contract not start until the new handset has been delivered? there has been no contact from iD either way so please could somebody help me out here - I dont want to be missing out on value from a lack of proper communication.
