I am considering taking a sim only upgrade while I decide on which handset to upgrade to. I just can't see anything that I like via the upgrade offers right now. If took a monthly sim only upgrade and wanted to upgrade my handset at a later date would iD mobile run a credit check?

Sometimes with an upgrade a credit check is not performed and the credit check initially made is what’s considered (as well as payment history with us), sometimes a credit check is taken, I unfortunately couldn’t confirm if in your case one would happen or one wouldn’t.
When purchasing, it would be made fairly obvious if a credit check is being taken during the purchase.
