triangle porting without early termination of contract

I have two iD plans each with their own number. Plan A is about to end and Plan B has another 12 months to run. I want to transfer the number on Plan A to Plan B and the number on Plan B to a PAYG plan. I believe this will require triangle portings of both numbers, but how can I stop the Plan B contract from being terminated early while I transfer the assigned phone number?

Hi @fielder

Unfortunately as @andewhite suggests, this wouldn’t be possible.

You’ll be able to move Plan A’s number to Plan B, via a triangle port (Moving Plan A to another network’s PAYG and then from that to Plan B).

However, moving Plan B’s number anywhere from the contract it’s on would instantly terminate the contract, it cannot be switched to one of our PAYG plans, sorry.

I don’t think what you’re trying to achieve is possible, @fielder.

Thanks @andewhite . Reason is that family member is emigrating with 12 months left on the contract. Another family member is out of contract and can pick up the remaining 12 months. So Plan B (if it is possible) would be to port across another number to replace the one on the existing contract.

If plan A and B are with iD I don’t see how you can do what you want, @fielder.
