upgeade


I am due for an upgrade but when I click on all upgrade deals its not bringing up sim only deals it only shows phone.  Can anyone please advise how if I can do this. Tia

You’ve lost me ​@Jojo217 if you’re currently a SIM only customer.

When you click on View all upgrade deals it opens a new page (y/n?)

Below the Why iD Mobile? you should see Filter and Sort: Popularity (y/n?)

The very first deal is Sim Only Deals

(In blue→) View all deals → click there and it shows sim only deals

Well it does on mine anyway.

I'm not a current sim only customer I'm currently on a phone contract which I have received notification that I can upgrade however I don't want to upgrade to a new phone contract I only want to upgrade as a sim only which when I click on the upgrade deals it only shows me phone contract deals and not sim only deals

Though I’m fairly confident my answer above, using our account credentials via the official channels (app or online), would also have provided results for SIM only deals too, even if the original contract was with a phone. Unless maybe yourselves have changed things due to the increase in attempted SIM and/or eSIM fraud.

 

I thought it was odd that 2 different iD Mobile UK customers had such close sounding usernames, but noticed this can happen elsewhere too, so maybe its a pure coincidence.

Future readers needing the same information might assume someone was trying to repeat post to unlock the PM function. Then possibly pretend to be official iD Mobile online support. Oh but wait a minute….

The two names are the same person.  I have managed to get 2 accounts somehow.  What you originally posted does not work so I will have to call as advised by ID staff .

Ah-ha. That makes sense. If you’d have said that in the first post we’d have gotten you an answer sooner.

1 person, 2 accounts, 1 SIM only, 1 on a (12/24month) phone contract.

 

Anyway, my first reply should have put you in the right area, sorry it didn’t

And Tyler’s would be the best resolution as you can talk to the right team and I’m sure they’ll sort you out 😁

So do you NOT see this on either page on both accounts?

 

I’ve highlighted the bit you click on, in a red oval and put an arrow to it.

That’s the SIM only deals and that’s what you click on,the blue writing

Don’t scroll down passed this as they then show the phone and SIM deals

No you're still wrong and my first post was right.  I have 1 phone contract which is due for an upgrade.  I dont wish to upgrade my phone i simply want to go on to SIM only but when I click on upgrade deals this does not show any options for SIM only deals only phone upgrades so Tyler is correct and I will contact them directly.

So ​@Jo217. You’re currently on a phone and SIM contract which is due to run its full contract length (y/n?) Or has the full contract term now ended?

 

You noticed you had an upgrade offer (y/n?)

  1. You happened to create 2 iD Community accounts (one ​@Jojo217 and one as ​@Jo217) , even though you’re the same person
  2. I took it you’ve created 2 iD Mobile accounts.

Which of the above is correct?

This might be because the full contract term isn’t yet over.

So, how would I know you are the same person asking the same kinda question at the same time as it was another forum name - hence my (now clearly wrong suspicion someone was trying to circumvent certain forum security procedures) thinking you were 2 different people using similar names - this happens across many forums but for the most part they are trying to scam people.

My first response to the very 1st message should have, IMHO, have pointed you to the right place assuming you’re full term has now elapsed.

iD permit an upgrade 2 months prior to your contract end date. If you have not reached the FULL 12 or 24 month contract date you can’t downgrade your account.You have to wait until it reaches 12 or 24 months and 1 day.

 

Then the screenshot you posted clearly states “Upgrade your phone or SIM only contract”. So I posted the area mine shows where yours should have been. Note I too have the same banner as you.

 

Phew, with that out of the way. If your contract has reached its full term then I really don’t know why you didn’t see the SIM only deals that I posted. I did ask if you saw the same as me and you never said.
