Upgraded phone and contract and have lost reception on current phone


Hello, I have upgraded my phone and contract today online, however this afternoon i seem to have lost all network coverage to my current phone. I’m assuming this is connected, but am I now stuck with no reception until new phone handset arrives?

It sounds like a new SIM may have been sent out and the old SIM has been deactivated.

If you still don’t have the SIM you can collect one from your local Curry’s store and have it activated.

Yes I have sorted this I had to use the new esim on my old phone to restore network coverage and then request a new esim when new phone arrived. I also found some other queries historically on same issue, so seems a problem ID mobile aren't bothering to fix. Would seem pretty simple to firstly make it clear that as soon as upgrade is done online your current SIM will deactivate, but ideally just have a process where you complete an online form when the new handset has arrived and the esim is issued at that point.
