Hi Tyler

Received the PM in my account, but unable to reply back to you with answers to the questions. Let me know how I get these to you. Thanks

Just landed in NYC. I added a 10 day add on for me, my wife and 3 boys and none of us can connect to internet. Shocking.

Please can someone contact me for a refund if there is no chance of this ever working.

@Archer188

Just checking. Have you enabled roaming on each account (via the app or online account portal) and also on each phone?

And if the answer is yes to both have any of you received the automated rate advice text from iDM, with words like welcome to the USA? From my experience (though in Europe and thus in a roam free destination) you need this before the roaming works.

Another thing to tick off, have you tried to manually connect to iD’s USA roaming partner(s)?

Assuming you’ve not yet roamed with iD, if any of you are using Android based phones see if your number (on your SIM settings page) is still showing as 07 rather than +447 - if any are 07 then that phone doesn’t yet ‘know’ it’s roaming. (iPhones should be already set to +447)

Other than that it really does look like iD have messed this Roam Beyond Data Add-on up. You can wait until a member of staff moves this to private messages or contact iD directly to request a refund

Thanks for the reply. Yes tried all of the ideas to try and get it working, connected to all the networks, changed ANP, etc. but sadly nothing has worked on iPhones or android. We received the rate advice text too.

I'll give them a shout on the contacts as well

Well it sounds like you’ve done all you can. Clearly somebody messed this roam beyond up

Normally contacting them on the above tends to give a quicker resolution. But the staff on here would be able to sort this out too (but they’d be answering many other customers too and would only pick up on private messages when they’re onshift)

Not saying you should, but you could put a complaint in - they do tend to offer £20 to file the complaint in the shredder/under the carpet. So a full refund plus £20 could go towards USA SIM’s/eSIMs to keep you all online.

(and if your kids are 18 or over they too could out a complaint in too (your wife could anyway) and therefore you could potentially get a full refund plus a minimum of £40 - again softens the blow for the hassle and put this towards keeping the kids happy)
