Steph Latham

Hi. I’ve just purchased an apple cellular watch. I can see that you do not support this but I was wondering if there are any plans to do so?

Many Thanks,

Steph

Hi @Jo Catterall-Rodell,

Welcome to the Community!

As eSIM has been launched just recently we hope to expand the devices that we support in the future.

Hi @Steph Latham

We don’t have any current plans or announcements regarding extending support out to Apple Watches, sorry.

It’s a big shame you don’t support cellular watches. I have only just received my SIM card and probably would have searched for another provider who does support my watch .

According to Apple’s online information, about their Apple Watch GPS + Cellular product, here in the UK it’s currently supported by: EE, O2, Three UK, and Vodafone.

Does Apple Watch use eSIM?

Hey there @Craig the wolf, welcome to Community!

Apple Watches do indeed use eSIM’s. One of our eSIM’s may work on an Apple Watch, but some features will be limited, and we don’t officially support it as of yet. Cellular functions will certainly not work at all.

Thanks,

Tyler

@Tyler , has anything changed in the last 4 months? I’m looking to switch to ID Mobile, and lack of Apple Watch support could be a deal breaker for me.

Many thanks in advance.

Ivan

Hi @ivan.rigoni @cherylw26,

Our eSIM are only for handsets at the moment.

If anything changes in the future the website will reflect this.

This is something that we may offer in the near future.

Hello @calzz301

Thanks for getting in touch.

I am afraid we still do not currently support using eSIM’s on accessories but we will be sure to update the website if this changes.

good day!
again the same question. Do you have any plans for Apple cellular plan for Apple Watches?
For me it’s a critical feature to move to the operator fully.

“One of our eSIM’s may work on an Apple Watch, but some features will be limited,Cellular functions will certainly not work at all”, can I take this as apple watch could use ID mobile e-sim to make and receive phone calls but no internet access?

Hello @Zhenyu Nie

I am afraid we are not able to guarantee any aspect of the service working as it is not something we support sorry.

Thanks,
