Switched to ID mobile, can make calls but cant receive them

Hi

Tried to talk to the online chat earlier but took 30 mins of exchanging messages and made no progress (other than being asked if I had put the sim in the phone !).

Moved to ID Mobile and had old number ported over.  This happenend on Tuesday but it hasnt worked properly.  My phone registers as my old number and I can dial out and send text messages etc but no-one can call me or send me anything.  If you try and call my number it says ‘number not recognised’ or ‘not in service’.

Anyone had this and got any idea what to do ?  Phone is a Pixel 7, have done what ID Mobile online chat have said (check number in personal info, check SIM card has been put into phone).

Will try them again tomorrow - at the moment paying for a service that doesnt work.

Thanks

Sounds like it could be a split port. You need to speak to live chat so they can escalate it to the technical team to resolve.

Spent 3 hours with online chat - shambolic service where constantly told to reset settings, restart, insert SIM again etc.   I don't think the customer support team read the messages, it is so frustrating.

I wish CEOs of companies tried to resolve issues in the way that we have to.  They don't get exposed to it but honestly, if they did I think they would be shocked to the core about the level of service provided.

I am told after 3 hours today that my problem has been raised to tech services. They have 48 hours to look at it but I have no faith they even have a ticket logged.

Regret moving to ID mobile, if not sorted in a couple of days I will cancel the contract and go elsewhere.

Hey there @rooney1000, we’re very sorry to hear that.

Are you still having issues with your port please?

Can you confirm what phone you have please?

Thanks,

Tyler

Apparently it has been logged to tech services. Is a pixel 7. Spent all day yesterday on live chat, reset every setting possible, checked all config, got a replacement SIM. Same issue.

It is clear it is a network issue as if you try and call my number from any other phone it instantly says number not recognised.

As above, I can dial out and use the phone with the right number, I just can't receive calls.

Like I said above sounds like a split port. The technical team do have to intervene in these cases unfortunately. It will get resolved for you.

Hey there @rooney1000, if it’s been logged to our technical team, then they’ll be working to resolve this ASAP for you, so please keep in touch with the team you contacted regarding this and who raised it for you for updates.

Thanks,

Tyler
