I have bought add ons for 5 days in Turkey which was activated yesterday but nothing works. I cannot make or receive phonecalls and my mobile data does not work.

Thank you for getting in touch, and I’m sorry to hear your roaming isn’t working as expected in Turkey I appreciate how frustrating this must be when you’ve already purchased an add-on.

 

With iD Mobile, it’s important to clarify that your roaming add-on is data-only. This means:

  • ❌ It does not include calls or texts
  • ❌ Standard voice calls and SMS will be charged separately (if used)
  • ✅ It only covers mobile data usage

 

📶 What to check to get your service working

Please make sure the following settings are in place:

🔹 1. Roaming is enabled on your handset

  • Go to your phone settings
  • Ensure Data Roaming is switched ON

🔹 2. Bill Cap is set to £0

  • Open the iD Mobile app
  • Go to Billing / Spend Cap settings
  • Set your Bill Cap to £0 to avoid out-of-plan charges or blocks

🔹 3. Manually select a network in Turkey

Please connect to one of the supported roaming networks:

  • Turkcell
  • AVEA (Türk Telekom)

You can do this in:

  • Settings → Mobile Network → Network Selection → Turn OFF automatic → Choose network manually

Hi I have tried everything you have listed and mobile data still is not working.

again I have spend £20 for 5 days use and having none of it useful!!

I’m really sorry to hear that your add-ons aren’t working while you’re in Turkey, especially after you’ve paid for this service and already tried troubleshooting steps. I understand how frustrating this must be.

 

As you’re in Turkey, please try manually selecting a network on your phone and connect to either Turkcell or Avea, as these are our recommended roaming partners. Once connected, restart your device and then check if calls and mobile data start working.

 

If you’re still experiencing issues after this, please let us know so we can investigate this further for you as a priority.

Hi there,

I have tried everything now.

i have manually selected Turkish network and turned my phone off and on numerous times and still no mobile data. 
My phone is showing 4/5G but nothing works.

Thanks for trying those steps and for the update.  I’m sorry you’re still having issues, especially while abroad.

 

If you’re currently using a physical SIM, we’d recommend trying an eSIM instead, as this has helped other customers in similar situations where roaming data wasn’t connecting properly.
