overseas add on not working

I have bought an Australian data bolt on but it is not working even though it shows as active on my ID App

Thanks for getting in touch, and I’m sorry to hear your Australian roaming add-on is not working despite showing as active in the iD Mobile app.

 

Please make sure of the following:

  • Your Bill Cap is set above £0, as a £0 Bill Cap can prevent roaming services from connecting correctly
  • Roaming is enabled both in the iD Mobile app and in your handset settings
  • Your handset is connected to one of our supported partner networks in Australia:
  • Telstra Mobile
  • Yes Optus
  • Vodafone

To check roaming and Bill Cap in the iD Mobile app:

  1. Open the iD Mobile app
  2. Go to My Account
  3. Select Manage Plan
  4. Ensure Roaming is enabled
  5. Tap Bill Cap and ensure it is set above £0
  6. Save any changes and restart your handset

To manually select a network:

iPhone

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Mobile Service / Cellular
  3. Select Network Selection
  4. Turn off Automatic
  5. Wait for available networks to appear
  6. Select Telstra Mobile, Yes Optus, or Vodafone

Android

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Connections / Mobile Networks
  3. Tap Network Operators
  4. Turn off Select Automatically
  5. Wait for the available networks to load
  6. Select Telstra Mobile, Yes Optus, or Vodafone

Please also ensure that Data Roaming is enabled within your handset settings.

 

Once completed, restart the handset and test the connection again.
