Tablet not charging or turning on

Hi,

I had a Samsung tablet as a free gift, it’s just done an update and now no longer turns on. Do I need to send it back for a replacement or can I take it to Curry’s to get it fixed/replaced? Also, if I do take it to Curry’s, what do I need to take with me?

I’ve tried all the button reset things, tried connecting it to my laptop but none of this works.

Hi @Othalawesti,

I'm sorry to hear that your Samsung tablet is no longer turning on following the update, especially after you've already tried the reset steps and connecting it to your laptop.

As the tablet was a Samsung promotional gift, we'd recommend contacting Samsung Support directly, as they'll be best placed to advise on warranty support, repairs, or replacement options.

If you choose to take the tablet to a Currys store instead, please be aware that this would typically be treated as a fixed-price repair service, rather than a warranty replacement through iD Mobile.

Should you visit Currys, it's a good idea to take:

  • The tablet itself.
  • Any proof of purchase or promotional documentation you may have.
  • Photo ID, if available.

Samsung will be able to confirm whether the device is eligible for repair or replacement under their warranty terms.

I apologise for the inconvenience caused and hope you're able to get the tablet up and running again soon.

Regards,
