Umlimitad Data Addon not working

Hi all

I recently renewed with IDM and they added a 24 month unlimited data to my standard 10gb account.

I'm 2 months in and got a message warning me that the 10gb is 80% used, and my account shows this also, with the address showing in the addons section.

I spoke on chat with an agent who assured me the add-on kicks in at 0gb but I'm now standing outside the O2 arena, unable to access my concert ticket as I'm on 0gb data and support is closed.

I've had to buy more data just to get into the show, but anyone found a fox for this crap or do I have to wait to speak to more unreliable support people tomorrow?

Spoke to support today via the complaints 0800 number who were pretty useless tbh.

They said the issue was Manchester has a lot of IDM users, and so the issue wasn't the account etc but that there weren't enough connections to go around lol

They reset phone work settings and tried to give me a partial refund of the 6gb Add-on I bought for £15 (which didn't even start working til this morning) but I refused and asked it before escalated to 2nd line, so now awaiting further contact.

I expect a fix for the account issues (as I 100% guarantee this reset has done nothing), full refund of the £15 unnecessary 6gb addon and compensation for standing in front of 10000 people who'd been queuing for 5 hours due to their account balssup, then trying to get myself a d young daughter back to a hotel on late night buses and trams with no way to check up times etc online. 

I feel I will be taking this to The Communications Ombudsman eventually to fix the issue and get satisfaction.

Not the best start to a new contract.

Did you ask the team to check whether the unlimited data add-on was added correctly when you spoke with them today?

Yeah, they checked and confirmed the add-on was there and reiterated that it 'kicks in automatically', but sadly it didn't.
