I always smile when my 15 year old jack Russell decides to have a roll around on the grass, when he's off the lead in the park! It's the best feeling ever! 😀

My Labrador is always happy to see me. I can put out the bin for refuse collection and be back in the house within 20 seconds. He will dance around with happiness at seeing me return as though I have been gone years.

Time with my grandchildren, at that age where every experience is new, so full of energy and laughter one can’t help but smile 😊

Nothing is more heartwarming than seeing an elderly couple in their retirement years walking hand in hand and still in love with one another, the sight of this always warms me and makes me smile.

What makes me smile is going to the gym with my girlfriend and motivating each other to be healthier and fitter.

Spending 5 minutes of the day just day dreaming, be that just looking out of the window having my morning coffee, while watching the birds busily start their day.  Or on the morning commute, no headphones or screen watching, just observing the world go by!

Hi.

It makes me smile, especially when it’s snowing, to know I’m retired and can stay at home.

Apart from Fridays, knowing I have no work for two days it has to be spending every precious moment left with my mum who has terminal cancer. Nothing beats seeing and spending time even if its just sat with a cup of tea chatting or watching the world go by

So sorry to hear this Sarah. :’(

Lots of things make me happy. I’m retired but still have two adult sons at home, and we laugh so much every day. See my teenage granddaughters. Taking a walk and looking at any wildlife I can spot (living in London it’s not always easy!) Resting in bed playing Lily’s Garden! lol  Sharing a meal every day with my sons. I do count my blessing every day, even though I’m old with a myriad of chronic health issues.
