Travel! New countries, new places, exploring, learning about new cultures and eating new foods.
I love warm weather, sandy beaches, and clear seas. Traveling with my husband and 2 children makes me so so happy….roll on the summer

Unequivocally what should make everybody happy, and it certainly does me, is knowing that the people that surround you, be that your significant other, your friends or your family, love you and you love them.  Having lost my wife recently I know this to be an absolute truth.

Having a soak in the bath with bubbles and then getting into cosy pj's and then curling up with a good book in bed.

What makes me happy is taking time for myself whether that’s time at a spa, reading a good book or a walk.

Beneath the sky, where soft winds play,
We take short walks at the close of day.
With intimate talks, our hearts align,
Sharing secrets like aged wine.

Cosy cuddles in a warm embrace,
The world fades into this sacred space.
Good food savored, a feast of delight,
Each bite a memory, each sip just right.

And with good company, life feels whole,
Kindred spirits nourish the soul.
In these small joys, love gently blooms,
Filling our lives, lighting the rooms.

A nice walk on a Sandy beach with the sun on my face, listening to the tide rolling in and out with the smell of the sea. Pure bliss.

What makes me happy, is spending time with my children and Grandchildren. Life goes by very fast and before you know, life has passed you by. I also like spending time with my partner and my friends. I travel a lot with friends and my partner . Seeing different cultures and countries interests me. I could go on i have lots of hobbies too , which make me happy.

Long walks with my resuced German shepherd dog.

In the countryside and woods , just the sound of nature and sometimes just the Silence as it has so much to say.

Nothing makes me happier than a great read. I love to pick up a good book and immerse myself in the pages, getting to know the characters and disappearing somewhere else for a few hours.

I've solved mysteries, with Miss Marple in the world of crime, flirted with the likes of Mr Darcy in a good old regency romance and rustled up spells in the wizarding world with Harry Potter.

For me happiness is the joy of escapism in a fabulous book!

Spending time with my now adult granddaughters. since the day they were born they’ve been better than Prozac. They are the sunshine in my life. I don't see them as much as I’d like to, but yesterday I spent the day with them. Bliss.

Walking over the hills with music in my earbuds watching the dog think he can catch a rabbit or squirrel... he can't but you have to love his optimism!

What makes me happy?

It’s the little things—like when I find a parking spot right by the door, or when I eat something so good it feels like a win. But on a deeper level, it’s knowing I’ve made a difference, even if it’s just a small one. Whether it’s offering a bit of advice, sharing a laugh, or just being there for someone, those moments give me a kind of warmth that sticks with me.

Happiness, for me, isn’t about big achievements; it’s about those quiet, unexpected moments that remind me life is good. A kind word, a wagging dog tail, or a random compliment—they all add up. It’s those small moments that make the ups and downs feel worth it. Even if I trip over my own feet again tomorrow, I know it’s the little things that count.
