It’s that time of the year again, Apple fans! Four new iPhones have landed - iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
These new phones are packed with exciting new tech and features including crash detection, stunning low-light photography and longer battery life. Let’s take a closer look…
Design and display
iPhone 14 shares the same design as iPhone 13, so it looks like Apple is sticking with what its phone users know and love. There’s one big difference though - unlike the iPhone 13 range, there’s no mini option.
The Super Retina XDR OLED display sizes are 6.1-inches on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, and 6.7-inches on iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max. These sharp, bright and colourful screens make everything look amazing and are great for entertainment – you’ll love playing games and watching movies on them.
As for colours, iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro comes in midnight, blue, starlight, purple and ‘product red’. Go for iPhone 14 Plus or iPhone 14 Pro Max and you’ve got the choice of deep purple, gold, silver and space black.
Advanced cameras

With an enhanced main camera and improved image processing, each iPhone 14 lets you capture awesome shots in all kinds of lighting conditions. Then there’s Action mode, for smoother video footage. Crash detection
The iPhone 14 family comes with a potentially life-saving feature called crash detection. As the name suggests, it can detect if you’re unlucky enough to be involved in a severe car crash. An alarm on your iPhone will sound, and you’ll be given the option of contacting emergency services using an on-screen slider. If you don’t answer the alarm in 10 seconds, your iPhone will automatically contact the emergency services for you.
Bionic power
iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are powered by the same A15 Bionic chip as iPhone 13, while iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max use the pioneering new A16 Bionic chip.
When it appeared on the iPhone 13, the A15 Bionic chip was the fastest on any smartphone ever - up to 50% faster than competitors. It’s still an incredibly fast and powerful processor.
The A16 Bionic chip is “generations ahead of the competition” according to Apple. It’s perfect for advanced photograph and intensive gaming, and delivers more performance with a fraction of the power compared to the competition.
Oh, and the battery is the best that’s ever been on an iPhone. The Bionic chip and software are so efficient that your new iPhone 14 will now easily last all day, no matter what you’re doing.
All the storage you need
iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus come with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB storage options. Whichever you go for, you’ve got plenty of room for all your apps, games and files.
iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max also have a fourth storage option of 1TB (1000GB, in other words). That’s more than most laptops have, and gives enough space for around 250 HD movies.
