Everything you need to know about the new Sony Xperia 10, as revealed at MWC 2019, the world’s biggest tech show.

MWC in Barcelona saw a huge influx of new tech announcements. And for us, one of the most exciting moments was when Sony Mobile President, Mitsuya Kishida revealed details of the Sony Xperia 10 - a fantastic phone you'll be able to order from iD Mobile. Here's what makes it so special...

Design and display
Covered by tough Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5, the Xperia 10 is gorgeously sleek with a metallic finish, and its screen offers 6-inches of HD glory. The Xperia 10 is a mover lovers’ dream – sporting an ultra-wide 21:9 format. And if you’ve seen the film before and desperately need to send that email, split the screen and multitask away. And Sony's legendary audio expertise is onboard for a satisfyingly loud and rich sound.

Camera
You'll be able to make every moment picture perfect with the dual camera (13MP + 5MP) on the Xperia 10. It captures every moment in crystal clear clarity, and you can even add a beautiful blurred background for those special portraits.

Then, round the front, show off your best side with the 8MP selfie camera. You’ll get loads of recording options, too. There’s 1:1 which is ideal for Insta, while 21:9 is an amateur movie makers best friend.

Under the hood
The battery on the Xperia 10 weighs in at 2,870mAh, and should easily keep you going all day. And if you need something powerful to keep up with all your needs, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8630 processor will make everything fast and responsive. But back to the battery – this phone boasts Adaptive Charging which monitors your phone as it charges to make sure the battery isn’t overworked. Plus, Smart Stamina predicts how long your power will last and then adjusts your usage to keep you charged up for longer.

You can pre-order the Sony Xperia 10 from iD Mobile right now. Plans start at just £15.99.

This is the phone I was waiting for. I like Sony phones and for last two years I am using XZ1 Compact but this new 21:9 screen ratio and all new design is just so tempting. I am thinking on getting my upgrade with this phone but I will need to speak to the sales team first because I would like to take 2GB or 5gb data but pay something upfront to lower monthly direct debit. I hope that battery will be good enough to hold whole day of use as 2870mah does not seems much.
