Well, I haven’t gone on it yet but I hope it will be my first cruise in September to the Norwegian Fjords!

Santiago de Compostela in northwest Spain. A gorgeous golden stone city with fabulous architecture, lovely food and great wine. The countryside around here has the feel of Cornwall with a few degrees more heat. The greenery reflects the sometimes rainy climate but there's a great umbrella shop in Santiago!

I love Crete. The people are so proud of their culture and identity. Their food is great too. We’ve had wonderful holidays in Kastelli, e the owner of our holiday villa invited us to the local “Little Easter” on the 15th August. A great day up in the mountains by a little chapel, that was once a pre christian Helios site.

We had a celebration cinnamon bread as part of the Orthodox service and then were treated to a feast with, local musicians playing the Lyra, Loutra and Cretan fiddle., and of course, dancing.

The seas were so clean, and we had a wonderful encounter with a huge octopus, wonderful day trips to the Venetian fort, and to the south coast for fish.

I’m making myself sad that the country is suffering so much at the present, they are such warm people, they really don’t deserves these present disasters.

Benidorm. Two types of people talk about Benidorm….Those who have never been and those who never want to leave.
