Too many to choose from, but one of my favourites is the Original Forza Horizon. The atmosphere and the music hasn’t been beaten since.

The first game I really got addicted to was River raid on Atari 2600. Then it would have been commando on C64.

This is a hard one as Tom Raider and Metal Gear were great on the playstation. Indiana Jones on the Xbox. Then to be totally different Animal crossing on the Switch which is now making abit of a funny sound when played. Gaming is great way of puzzle solving and chilled out time.

I’ve just recently got into gaming again after not playing anything for years. My favourites at the moment are Stardew Valley and Pallia, both of which help me completely switch off!

It obviously has to be Lemmings.   We don't need whizzy graphics and coins & stars flying about all over the place. Just good fun and logical thinking.  More recently, Angry Birds has a similar vibe.

Arkanoid - it was on the old Speccy!  Couldn’t pause it , didn’t have any idea how may levels there were, if you stopped and restarted the next day you had to start from the beginning, if you moved the joystick too much  and disturbed it, it crashed!  Me and my hubby got the furthest we ever had and took it in turns to keep it going one night.  Ended up 5.35am when we actually completed it,  20 mins before the kids woke up!!! 🤣  But such good fun!

My favourite game(s) are Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age on the Gameboy Advance. There's also a third game on the DS called Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. Am I cheating? If I'd have to pick one, it's Golden Sun: The Lost Age.

Sadly, it's not a game series that many people know, but if you know about them, then you know just how good they are. Awesome music, brilliant spite art, a storyline that develops right through the games with lots of twists and turns, and puzzles that use psychic abilities based on the four elements (Earth, air, fire, water) that can be used both in and out of combat. Frost for example can freeze enemies in combat, but it also freezes puddles of water to create platforms that you can walk on to access otherwise inaccessible areas. They're also the only game series that I know of where the game finishes with "To be continued" ...TWICE!!! And then the second time they didn't make the sequel. Gaaaah you don't know pain like it.

So in summary, they're good games. Try them. But don't say I didn't warn you about the pain.

Has to be final fantasy 7 for me. I remember being blown away with the cinematics, storyline and characters. This was a truly open world game (when you got out of midgar, cd1!) and the levelling up and battle mechanics had me hooked. I remember buying the strategy book to help me find the secret characters, secret bosses and most powerful materia. Truly was an epic games of all proportions!!
