My favourite game of all time has got to be either Halo 3 or Black Ops 2. So many hours “wasted” on these and I definitely don’t regret it as I have so many core memories made with friends.

Super Mario Brothers 3. The excitement of your character being able to fly took the game up a whole new level - literally!

My favourite game has to be Asteroids

Would probably go with GTA, played this excessively when I was younger. Couldn’t beat a cheeky cheat code and being chased by the entire US Army

My all time favourite game is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I have spent thousands of hours wandering around Tamriel slaying dragons, besting bandits and yeeting enemies off of cliffs with my Thu'um. It fills me with the nostalgia of being a teenager when I first played it and when life was so much simpler. To commemorate my love for the game, I got the logo tattooed on my forearm nearly the length of it, and when my kids were born, I got 'family' written in the language of the dragonborn. I was playing this game at 18, I'll damn sure be playing it still when I'm 80.

I honestly can’t pick just one favourite, as there have been so many greats over the years, so I’ve put together a short list of the best of the best:

  • The Crysis Trilogy & Dead Space – These were my go-to games on PC back in the day. It was a proper struggle to get my old rig to run them, but the intense atmosphere and action made it worth the battle.
  • NFS Most Wanted, Carbon & ProStreet – Absolute legends of the racing genre. I spent ages tearing up the streets in these; they still hold up as some of the finest racers ever made.
  • Horizon Zero Dawn & Forbidden West – This series was a total game-changer for me. Starting on the PS4 Pro and moving to the sequel on PS5 was a revelation – the world-building is just stunning.
  • God of War Ragnarök – A proper masterpiece. The scale of the story and the combat on PS5 is absolutely top-tier.
  • Destiny 2 – My all-time favourite for social play. I’ve put years into this one because nothing beats the buzz of tackling raids and dungeons with a solid crew.

These are the titles that truly stand out for me.

Crash Bandicoot & the Wrath of Cortex, it was the first game I ever completed on the PSG whilst sitting for my grandchildren.

It became our quality time together and my introduction to gaming, which I am please to say is still present in this old ladies life.

The Sims, back in the day I would spend whole days on the game.  Nearly set fire to my mum’s house as I got distracted playing while “cooking” a potato in the microwave.
