after my mobile number switching from Smarty to MobileID , i can make call and send SMS but I can't receive calls or receive SMS

this is a common issue it seems, number porting from Smarty to ID mobile wil ends up unable to receive text or sms.
I switch to MobileID due to the pixel 8a phone contract , but now its been 2 months plus I can’t receive any call or sms.
I have been to multiple chat support, replace sims, got told my case has been forwarded to technical team, confirm my number shows up on android is the correct one, until today still I can’t receive calls or sms. I am stuck especially those services needed one time sms passcode, poeple can’t contact me complaining my number not working and etc.
Many topics and complains are related to Smarty switching to ID Mobile facing such an issue, if this is not a fixable issue, please tell me honestly , i want to take my number and switch to other provider, provided i can do it without PAC code since i can’t receive sms.
if anyone has any solution, please let me know.
By the way , i am still being charge and still paying the monthly payment even though i can’t receive calls or sms.

Common issue? News to me! I switched three lines from SMARTY to iD Mobile, all without issue.

Sounds like you have what’s known in the industry as a split port.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with iD Mobile or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. Did my comment help answer your question? If so, don't forget to mark the response as the Most Helpful Answer.

Thank you for getting in touch.

We are very sorry to hear of the issues you have been facing with the service and not being able to use calls/texts.

You mentioned a Pixel 8 in your post, is this the handset you are using?

If you wish to receive a PAC, please do let us know and we can send over a private message to help with this.

    hi Natalie

    I am using Pixel 8a.
The first time I complaint about this issue , ID mobile send me a replacement sim card.
    it is still same issue.
I try putting the sim card on to my old phone, i still can’t receive calls.
Every time i chat with your online Agent, I had to explained again,
I can call out, i have 5G internet/data , other people just can’t call me, can’t text me ( unless I enable RCS ). Application that reply on one-time passcode or PAC doesn’t use RCS.
the last time I talk chat with your ID mobile agent, it says my case been forwarded to technical department, that was 1 month ago.

Many suggestion mention about split port, your online agent doesn’t seems to believe that can happen.

    regards

Scammers are constantly targeting this website to scam user of payment card and email code.
please be aware of some email address not from ID Mobile and claims they are ID support teams asking for contact number. Especially they sound not local.
They will ask you for code in email ( due to them clicking forget password link ), and look at your mobile plan, telling you on the mobile contract, getting you birthday and pretend to solve your issue by telling you they will send a replacement phone and sim. Then they ask to confirm your direct debit payment and ask for your card details.
So do be careful and be alert.
