Apple watch predicament mid contract

A few months ago I switched to ID mobile with a new IPhone and contract. I have a cellular apple watch and want to have a e sim so that I dont always need to take my phone with me eg, on runs/dog walks. ID mobile appear to now be one of the few UK carriers that dont offer an e sim for apple watch. Im stuck on my phone contract so cant move to another carrier who does!!! Anyone else is this predicament? Anyone know if ID mobile have any plans to bring out an e sim for apple watch? I wish I had know this a few months ago. I would have signed with another carrier….

I’m sorry to hear that you only discovered this after taking out your contract, and we completely understand why having cellular connectivity on your Apple Watch would be important when you want to leave your phone behind.

Unfortunately, iD Mobile does not currently support eSIM or Number Share services for cellular smartwatches, including the Apple Watch. Your Apple Watch can still be used through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi when connected, but it cannot currently have its own iD Mobile cellular connection.
